Whew that weekend flew by. A few days of running, working, meeting up with my old race friends and some semi-cruddy weather made the weekend go by pretty fast. I’ll be putting together a full race recap, but in the meantime, here is my weekend – one sentence per photo style.
Friday afternoon, hitting up the Race Expo with Cari!
I picked up some new Sparkly Soul headbands.
Friday night was the VIP Ambassador Race Reception, so B and I got a little dressed up and hung out with fellow Cleveland Marathon Race Ambassadors!
A little carbo loading before the race.
Saturday morning was the Rite Aid Cleveland Marathon 5k.
Followed by a little work event.
And another trip to the Expo!
Then to the movies.
Sunday morning we woke up to COLD and SNOW!
Not typical May running weather (and colder than our December weather) but we made it to the start just as the race began.
Oh and it was SNOWING during the run – can you see the flakes on my jacket?
B snapped a few photos of during the run – easy to spot me in the bright yellow jacket.
I felt good when we finished!
Partially thanks some great fans cheering us on.
Three medals, two races for completing the Challenge Series!
After warming up, a post-run brunch of egg whites and pancakes was in order.
Spent the afternoon being semi-productive and working, shopping at Target, doing laundry and watching movies (ok I watched part of The Duff – I suck at watching TV for more than an hour at a time).
And a little banana bread baking!
We had the ultimate comfort food dinner at B’s parents house – spaghetti and meatballs!
And that about sums up my weekend, one-sentence-per-photo style.
Some questions for you:
- When was the last time you ran a race?
- Sweet or savory for brunch? I’m usually a savory-all-the-way bruncher, but while being pregnant I have to have both! I never would’ve ordered pancakes 35 or so weeks ago 🙂
I’m linking up today with Erin, Katie and the weekly wraps.
AND PS – Happy Anniversary to my MOM and DAD! ❤ So excited to see them this weekend 🙂
Shut up. You are freaking Superwoman!!! My goodness, momma! Go you, you are a total inspiration!
You are too nice!!! Thank you!!
Wow you are an amazing mama! Lord willing, I would love to be able to run if I have babies… 🙂
Thank you!! It’s harder than it has been, but I’m going to try to keep it up somewhat. Hope you may be able to too someday 🙂
Ahh!! So cute! I want to be a cute running mama like you when I grow up 🙂 Congrats!!
Aww, thank you 🙂 I hope to be back to more mileage soon – just like you are now!! 🙂
cold and snowy is my favorite kind of running weather!! of course living in TN I’ve never experienced it in May!! :-O congrats on your racing.
Ha, we don’t typically get cold or snow in May, but this year we did! And it was 70s in December some days. Crazy!!
Congrats on your race. I can’t believe you had snow, go figure! That banana bread looks sooo delicious!
you go, mamma!!!!!!!!!!! you are such a rock star!
crazy that you had snow!
all of the food pics looks sooooo yummy btw!
I adore the race bibs pinned over the baby bump. You rock, mama! It’s hard to imagine snow from where I sit. I look forward to your recap of the races. Great medals too! Your banana bread loves heavenly. Are those white chocolate chips on top? Peanut butter? You’ve got to be getting close to your due date. How exciting! Thanks for linking with us Melissa.
Those are peanut butter chips! I should link to the recipe. Also, my race Recaps are posted. Nothing too exciting for just the 5 and 10K, but definitely an experience to run this pregnant!
Whoa those medals are awesome! Oh and so is the post race breakfast, Yummy! Congratulations to you!!!
Congrats on your race! That sign was super cute! I hope I can continue to run if/when I am pregnant. You mama runners amaze me! Brr, looks like a cold race! It feels like July here and y’all have snow.
