Conference, Communion and Comedy

This weekend is brought to you by the letter C. Yes, C. (as you see by the title, that’s the theme of the post)

Anyway, I’m not quite sure where my weekend went. Do you?

Hellloooo – weekend? Where are youuu?

Yes. That, Katt Williams, is how I feel.

Why did it go by so quickly? What the heck did I do? Well let’s see.

I spent my Friday and Saturday in Philadelphia for a work conference. I was there for the IPREX Global Leadership Conference, where I met PR and marketing professionals from around the world. I had the opportunity to present on how to pitch and win business.

The conference ended at 6:30, and then the group of us went bowling. Because that’s what you do in America, right?

So yeah, that was my Friday and Saturday.

Sunday involved an outdoor run (yippee!) that was faster than I’ve been going typically.Yes, this pregnant lady is still running – but much much slower than usual.

And B’s goddaughter’s (and my niece’s) first communion! Isn’t she adorable? We spent the morning and afternoon celebrating Sofia.

Because it was such a gorgeous day, we also took a walk. It was sunny and in the 50s – it’s supposed to get cold again next weekend I’m glad we got a tease of spring!

Oh yea, we also went to a comedy show. We saw Felipe Esparza this weekend, a comic that B is a fan of. I had won four tickets and oops – we forgot that he was here this weekend!

(not from our show)

So that was about it. And yes, I’m ready for next weekend already!

Some questions for you:

  • Do you like presenting in front of others?
  • Do you have any work trips coming up?

I’m linking up today with Erin for my weekend snapshot post, Katie for MIMM and the weekly wraps.

You are not even remotely slow! You are still faster than me! 🙂 Don’t be too hard on yourself, girl!

That was my fastest run in a while! Back to much slower today 🙂

It’s underrated! And with a fun, fancy bowling alley like that- definitely a great Friday night.

What a beautiful little girl and church! I made the same cross shaped cake for my oldest son’s confirmation.

I’m giving a presentation in three weeks as part of GMU’s Lifelong Learning Institute. I named it “Staying Fit Through The Ages” since my audience will be made up of retired individuals. It’s been a while since I’ve given a presentation to this large of a group so I’m a little nervous…

The cake was beautiful! Did you have a cake mold? Good luck at your presentation! You’ll be great

Yes, I purchased a cake mold exactly like the one used for the cake in your picture. And thank you! I’m a little nervous about my presentation, but know I’ll do fine. 🙂

Sunday was SUCH a gorgeous day here too. great job with the running! you look great. i don’t mind presenting in front of others as long as i know what i’m talking about! makes sense i’m sure. 🙂 i haven’t gone bowling in SO LONG and the bf and i were saying this weekend we should go at some point, as there’s a bowling alley down the street from me and i pass it every morning on my run…although i think it’s part night-club, from the red carpet and bouncer out front. 🙂

I’m jealous of you all who get to go on work trips, I think it would be neat. Bowling reminds me I have not done it in ages! I always enjoyed it though. How precious Sofia is and a great picture of your family, I’d say that needs to be framed! Thanks lady for linking up with us each week!! 🙂

I used to travel to several conventions every year. Some of them were in really nice vacation spots, but honestly it got very old. I’m glad I no longer have to do that. I don’t mind speaking as long as I am confident about the subject matter. It is awesome you are still able to run. I think your pace is still very good too! Sofia looks like a little princess. Thanks for linking with us Melissa.
