Last week, I shared that the Cleveland Marathon has decided to move their race from May to the fall. As you may recall, I’m an ambassador for the race!

With the race being postponed until the fall, and me being pregnant (due July 24), I honestly don’t know what I’ll be able to run in the fall. If my pregnancy goes as planned, I’ll be “cleared” for running again mid-September. And that’s the best case scenario. So, depending on when the race is, I’m worried that I won’t be able to participate fully. BUT I’m going to do everything I can to still participate!

So much is out of my hands (how the pregnancy goes, how healing is, when I’m able to get back in shape, etc.), but there are some things in my control. And that – at least right now – is how in shape I stay during my pregnancy. And that’s why I’m trying to keep up my running streak and run about 5 miles each day! So, how did this week go?

This week, I got in almost 40 miles again! I ended with 39.58 miles, and since I’m not OCD about my mileage, that was fine with me. If you can’t tell – I’m completely fine with ending a run at an off digit.

Here’s how the week looked:

Sunday: 5.2 treadmill miles, and then a walk with the family!

Monday: 6.02 miles

Tuesday: 5.4 miles

Wednesday: 6.17 miles

Thursday: 5.49 miles

Friday: 5.29 miles

Saturday: 6.01 miles

Weeks Pregnant: 22!

Total Running Streak: 331

And some more photos from the week – most mornings were gorgeous!  A little chilly – and I was TIRED after the time change – but still felt ok to run/walk.

Some questions for you:

  • Did the time change mess up your sleep?
  • Are you training for any races right now?

You do have many factors that you cannot control for. I think accepting that it’s fluid is helpful. I betting on you to get to the finish line!

I thought Cleveland had just canceled the race. I’m glad they are planning on having it in the fall! It’s a tough job to be a race director right now for sure.

The time change threw me for a loop, too. I am going to need another week to get back on track.

Things will work out with your race. I just know it.

You are doing well with your run streak! July 24th was my due date with our son (2nd child), but he came early on the 16th. DST didn’t hit me until Wednesday LOL

I am also not OCD about my mileage. Well, maybe a little if my watch says 3.99 miles. Great job with your mileage! The time change did mess me up. I was so tired this week.

Congratulations on another solid week. Did I say congrats on your news? I know I read last week’s post but fell behind in commenting. So happy for you and your family

I try to round up my treadmill miles, but my neighborhood runs end when they end. 😉 Too bad the marathon was rescheduled. You may not care so much once your baby is born!
