Man, I’m tired. Last week was a tiring week of training. Not because of my mileage (I only ended up with ), but because it was a busy week with little sleep!
Monday night FW wouldn’t go to bed until late, Tuesday night I had a meeting that went until 7 p.m. and then I had to rush to my event at Playhouse Square, Wednesday night I worked late to prepare for a long early meeting on Thursday, Thursday was a 12+ hour day of work and by Friday I was ready for the weekend!
I honestly don’t know how I got in my runs last week, but I’m glad I did. I do always feel better after a run, even if I’m running on fewer than 6 hours of sleep (pun intended).
Now, onto the runs for this week. In terms of mileage, the week ended at 21.2 miles.
Sunday: 5.5 treadmill miles.
Monday: cross training day. 45 minutes on the elliptical was all I had time for before FW woke up.
Tuesday: 4.58 mile treadmill run. Some days you gotta match your shoes with your socks and your shirt!
Wednesday: Intervals – 5×400 on the treadmill. Ended up with 4.5 miles total including a warm up and cool down. I wore my Skirt Sports Jette skirt 🙂
Thursday: 3.1 miles on the treadmill. Thursday was an EARLY run (I got up at 4:30 a.m.), as I had to be in a meeting 2.5 hours away by 9-9:30 and drop off FW at daycare first. I wasn’t sure if I was going to be able to get in a run, but I’m glad I did! Even just 30 minutes on the treadmill is nice before a day of meetings and sitting in the car for 5ish hours.
Friday: 3.5 treadmill miles!
Saturday: none – rest day! And was having too much fun with my bff who was in town.
That brought my total up to 21ish miles. Not bad for an early week of training for the Cleveland Half Marathon!
And because it’s Tuesday, I’m linking up with My No-Guilt Life, Marcia’s Healthy Slice, and MCM Mama Runs!
Way to get those miles in! I was exceptionally tired last week as well. It must be in the air.
Running is such a commitment on its own that I don’t know how you mommas with little ones do it all. Kudos! I hope you find some time to rest this week!
Sounds like a great week!
And I can relate with this whole sleeping nonsense. I haven’t slept in 7 years…
Dang girl – you are an inspiration! Does this mean that even after they stop eating in the middle of the night, there’s no hope?
