It’s the Most RUNderful Time of the Year

I can’t help the title — it’s December and the past week has been pretty great for running! While my parents got tons of snow in NY, somehow miraculously in Cleveland we were spared and had a relatively mild week with mild temps and no real accumulation of snow overall. We had some flurries one morning and it looked slippery another morning, so I opted to hit the treadmill those times, but other than that, I lucked out and got outdoors every day!

Here’s a look at the week:

Here are some highlights:

On Sunday, I may have only ran a mile-ish on the treadmill, but the weather was 50 so we got in a nice family walk to a new trail by our house. It was gorgeous and both kids walked for a while too.

I hit 30+ miles this week. I’ve only done that 7 times this year, and given the fact that I’m not training for anything right now, I’m pretty proud of that.

Some questions for you:

  • What’s a typical mileage week for you? High?
  • Did you get hit with a lot of snow last week?

We had unseasonably warm temps, too. It’s kind of deceiving, because we all know the cold will return LOL My weekly miles, when not in training, is around 15-20ish…I really don’t want (or need) any more than that (nor does my body).

Wow your mileage was great! I’m usually around 25km for a week- not a ton, but I’m happy with getting that around work

I am always impressed when I see you can run so many days in a row. My mileage is pretty low right now over here

Nice mileage! Way to run EVERY DAY with two little ones to chase after. I think my running was much more sporadic when my kids were that young. Now my mileage is about the same as yours.

Some weeks are better than others for sure. Running with little ones can be a challenge, but it keeps me sane!

Fantastic mileage! Right now, I’m at a big, fat zero, but that will change. Usually, I average around 20 miles a week.

well done on your mileage! I ran a whole 3km last week. It’s been such a messed up year for running I don’t even know my average mileage!
