I’m one of those people who likes “fall back.” I’m an early riser, and I don’t mind it being light in the mornings. I like the fact that my body thinks it’s later than it is, which makes a 4:30 a.m. wakeup alarm that much easier. And I don’t mind it getting dark at night. I have 3 kids, and we don’t spend much time outside after 7:30 p.m. anyway!
So, the time change helped me this week. It wasn’t quite light when I went for runs in the early mornings, but it was nice to feel almost rested in the mornings when I woke up — or at least as rested as one can be with a 3-month-old nursing baby.
Sunday: 4.41 miles run plus 2+ miles hiking with the family in the woods. I was overdressed — it ended up being in the 60s that day!

Monday: 4.25 mile stroller run with LM on another beautiful fall day. It was my last morning home with LM before heading back to work and I wanted to take her out for a few miles – I’m so glad I did. She is a great running buddy!

Tuesday: 3.73 miles
Wednesday: 3.35 miles – it was GM’s first stroller run! B ran with me and pushed the stroller the whole way and did great. I hadn’t run with my husband since our getaway in April, and it was a perfect fall morning to get out there.
Thursday: 4.42 miles plus a nice stroller walk with GM.

Friday: 3.3 miles before a day of meetings.
Saturday: Off from running- instead I walked a few miles on the treadmill and also got in a walk with the family. What a differnce one week makes – it was COLD!

TOTAL for the week: 23.46 miles running, plus some walks, stretching and planks
Questions for you:
- Are the leaves changing near you or are they mostly fallen already?
- Do you like the fall time change?
