Phew, what a weekend! From a Cavs game to a wedding shower to hanging out with cousins to an ice festival to running to dinner with friends, let’s just say it was a pretty busy weekend.
But – it was fun, that’s for sure! And since I’ve already written too much, this is going to be a one-sentence-per-phot-style blog post. Ready? Go!
Date night at the Cavs game!
Guess who won?
One of my contributions to the shower – cheese and bread and crackers!
Amazingly beautiful cookies my MIL made.
Congrats Katie & David!
Family photo pat the shower!
Hanging out with cousins.
Baby cousins!
Not sure if he likes apple …
I also got in some miles – 6.1 on a treadmill, in a skirt.
We walked over to Ice Fest in Public Square.
Yes, I toasted a marshmallow and checked out the cool sculptures. We ended the weekend with a Chinese New Year celebratory diner (hello year of the Rooster!) with friends. And that about sums up our weekend. Some questions for you:
- What are you the year of in Lunar New Year? I thought I was an ox for the first 25 years of my life and then learned I’m actually a rat!
- When was the last time you had a s’more?
Per usual, I’m linking up with Erin, Katie and the weekly wraps.
Free s’mores! YUM. Last time I had a s’more was last year while camping in June….way too long ago!
If FW likes apple (it sure looks like he does!), we froze some applesauce and put it in those mesh pacifier-esque things that babies can suck on when they’re teething. Those are a big hit over here!
Mesh pacifier things??? I need to see what those are- I’ve never heard of them!
This is what we use:

thanks! he still hasn’t decided if he likes apple or not..he’s really only in love with banana!
Cute running skirt! Your MIL did a great job with those cookies. That ice sculpture is really cool. I never have much success with S’mores. The toasted marsh mellow is never warm enough to melt the chocolate. And I want that chocolate to melt. Is it just me? LOL. Thanks for linking, Melissa!
What a busy weekend. Our ice festival is this weekend and I had plans to go to that and the Chocolate tour but I think I need to skip it and get a long run in since I never have time to do one during the week.
Wow those cookies your MIL made are too pretty to eat! Love the ones with the dress!
Humm year of the Rooster ya say! I have roosters, I wonder if they know?
You look so cute in the running skirt!
