Scenes from a July Weekend in Cleveland

Wow, the weekend flew by. Guess when your last weekend was 5 days, 2 days seems too fast!

This weekend included some walks,  runs and working on our new house!!! (More to come on that)

Some of the highlights:

Finding these old newspapers. When your house is built in the 1920s, I guess you’ll find some cool things,  including newspapers from the 1950s.

Going for walks with this dude.  I am loving our BOB stroller,  it takes bumpy sidewalks so well!!

There were also sweet cherries this weekend. Northwest Cherry Growers sent me a lot of cherries to try out, and I mean LOTS of cherries. Which meant removing lots of pits and stems. Thankfully B didn’t mind 😁

Walks with Grandma. FW still isn’t walking on his own,  but he’s close.

Pizza. Yes we have pizza pretty much every weekend.

Runs and hugs with this guy. This photo was taken before I threw my back out, so I don’t know how much running I will be doing this week.

More cherries. So of course my weekend included some baking. These cherry pie bars didn’t come out looking that great, but they were a great dessert for Sunday dinner with B’s family.

And I still have more cherries left! Any suggestions on what else to bake?

Questions for you:

  • Have you ever thrown out your back? How long did it take to heal?
  •  What should we do with all these cherries?

I’m linking up with the weekly wraps.

  1. How cool to find old newspapers in your house. I’ve had a “catch” in my lower back for several years but have never had any severe back pain. I hope you feel better soon! Pizza on weekends is a must.

  2. Yep. I have an old back injury that flares up once in a while. I’m just getting over a flare up. Usually it takes a week or two for me to feel back to normal. I’m heading to a sports chiropractor next week because I’m tired of this! Pizza and cherries sounds perfect to me! Thanks for linking!
