Tuesdays on the Run: Slow Week

This post will be somewhat short because I’m TIRED. B was out of town for part of the week so I was a single parent (and unable to run in the mornings while FW was sleeping), then FW was sick (he slept for about 2 hours Wednesday night), which means that I’m recovering from a tiring week. Work is the busiest it has been for me in some time, so add that to the mix and well, I’m tired and unfortunately haven’t run as much as usual.

Total for this week: 3 runs, 13ish miles total

  • Tuesday: 4.56 miles
  • Wednesday: 4.56 miles
  • Friday: 4.68 miles

Some of the highlights:

I tried out a completely different route Wednesday morning – and funnily enough, it was exactly the same mileage as when I went out on a different route on Tuesday!

And then Friday, I was able to go for a run in the middle of the day and try out another new route. This time I went on a path near a nearby lake and it was GORGEOUS. I stopped a few times to take pictures, and felt really really lucky that I live close enough to be able to run on these paths.

I’m hoping that I get used to this cold weather we are having …. I’ve been having a really hard time getting out and running in the cold and staying warm this year for some reason.

  • How cold is too cold for you to run?
  • What’s keeping you busy this time of year?

So many people are so busy at work right now. Kind of sucks with everything else that needs to get done, right? I will run down to zero. We’ve already had some days where the wind is so biting, I’m thankful I don’t have far to go. We will get used to it though….we will…

Hey 3 runs is better than no runs. I don’t even have any little ones and I struggle to get my runs in sometimes. This cold weather is not helping either.

Thank you! The cold weather is the worst. I am usually pretty good about getting outside but the other morning it was snowing and said it was 3゚ and windy. I decided to stay in bed. I need a treadmill!

What a beautiful picture that is! I am struggling – there is just too much stuff to do. Managing work plus kids and trying to prep for Christmas is just a struggle at the moment.

I completely understand! I’m having such a hard time juggling it all that my life is focused on work right now. I haven’t really begun to think about Christmas and wrapping presents and all the baking.

I’m a wimp in the cold weather! If I don’t have a partner to run with, it’s hard not to resort to the treadmill for anything under 50 degrees… told you- wimp!!! Wrapping up work for the Holiday Break is keeping me busy! Any running is better than no running!

I definitely need a treadmill! This is the 1st year I haven’t had one in a while and I chickened out the other morning when it was “feels like 3゚” with wind and snow. I couldn’t do it!

Ummm ya! I wouldn’t call that chickening out. I’d call that smart haha
