Back on the Treadmill

This week, for the first time in weeks, I ran on the treadmill. Not just once, but TWICE!

Why? We had some SERIOUS thunderstorms. And as much as I don’t reallllllly mind running in the rain, thunder and lightning scare me. So when I woke up two days in a row to t-storms, I opted to keep up my running streak and hop on the treadmill.

This benefited B, because both days the kids were awake when I was on the mill and B was able to sleep in. I got them breakfast ready and then started running. This meant my run was more of an interval run, since there were several times I had to get up, get LM water, break up a fight, etc. But it beat being poured on or hit by lightning!

Here’s what the week looked like:

And here are some highlights from the week:

On the days it wasn’t rainy, we had some beautiful fall weather. It was 77 and sunny on Friday, so we made sure to take a long walk!

Look at this scenery. I love it.

One morning, after I got back from a run, FW and LM wanted to go out too. I took a turn running around the block with each of them — and it made me so happy!

Unfortunately, the weather is going to turn colder this week. Take a look at yesterday vs. the rest of this week’s outlook:

Some questions for you:

  • Do you run in thunder and lightning?
  • Has it turned cold near you?

I’m linking up with Deborah and Kim for the Weekly Run Down.

Crazy weather! The fall pics are great though. Thank goodness for the treadmill, best investment ever 🙂

I love running in the rain in the summer, but not in fall temperatures or in lightning. My rule of thumb is that if my dog won’t go out, I shouldn’t go out. It beats being hit by lightning and it sure beats not running at all!

Those are some plummeting temperatures! No, I do not run in lightning. I do not wish to die that way, or by a tree falling on me. It’s happened, and I don’t want it to happen to me!

Your kids are so cute! Love that they wanted to run with you.

Glad you were able to enjoy the beautiful weather! It felt like summer here but it looks like it’s going to get cooler here next week too!

Boo to thunderstorms! I avoid them like the plague!

You do have some gorgeous scenery your way. And I am super jealous of your cooler temperatures.
