Merry Christmas and happy holidays! I can’t believe Christmas has come and gone. I’ll be honest, this year’s Christmas didn’t really feel like Christmas. We were in Cleveland (we’re usually in New York) and it was just the four of us. But we made the most of it … and thanks to being here, I was able to keep up my running streak!
I’m now at 247 days, which means if I continue through the end of 2020, I’ll have gotten to 250 days, which I really can’t fathom. I know, I’ve seen people do year-long (or longer!) streaks, and I honestly have no intention of keeping this up that long, but I’m pleased with where I’ve come so far. My plantar fasciitis is still acting up on and off, but I have been stretching and rolling and icing, and even took some Aleve a few months ago and that seemed to help.
Here’s how this week looked – it was going well until our HUGE snowfall on Christmas Eve that lasted more than 24 hours! We got around 2 feet I think!

Some highlights:
The week started out gorgeous. The snow and ice from our last little storm finally melted and I was able to get in some nice morning runs. And caught this beautiful sunrise!

It was in the 50s one day, and it made for a perfect day for a walk with the kiddos on a new path. FW kept saying, “It feels like summer!” (and yes, he had his hood on too at times – he had either the hood on or wanted his jacket off)

And then, it started snowing Christmas Eve day. And it didn’t stop …

I don’t know if you can tell, but we got around 2 feet of snow. Look at how much is on the table and the car in the different pics!
]t rained before it started snowing, so underneath all the snow is a big sheet of ice. Which means I may not be running outside for a little while. Thank goodness for the treadmill!
Some questions for you:
- Did you have get dumped on by snow, too?
- White Christmas – yay or no?
I’m linking up with Deborah and Kim for the Weekly Run Down.
