What constitutes the end of a running streak?
Since April 2020, I’ve run at least one mile every day. In the beginning for me this meant 4-5 miles/day. As I’ve gotten more and more pregnant, and bigger and bigger, I told myself to “just run one mile.” Then after that, I would walk/run the rest. But as if this week (Day 412), my “just run one mile” turned into “can you walk/run one mile”? And that’s when I wondered – is my streak over? Does a walk/run count for a streak?
If a walk/run counts, I’m still streaking.
If it’s running without stopping, then day 411 was my last day.

Here’s what this week looked like from a running standpoint:
Sunday: 2.5 miles
Monday: 4.4 miles
Tuesday: 4.5 miles
Wednesday: 4.66 miles
Thursday: 4.75 miles
Friday: 4.88 miles
Saturday: 3.11 miles
Total: 28 mi
Weeks Pregnant: 34
Running Streak: Day 411? 415?
Some highlights from the week:
Sunday, we went on a long hike with the kids! We went to a trail that overlooks the lake and it was great to get out with the kids and explore somewhere new before baby #3 arrives.

On one of my runs this week, I saw a momma and baby deer! She was very protective of the fawn, but I did manage to catch this photo.

On another run, I ran by a lake that they have recently drained. It’s a really old dam, and they’re doing some studies to see if they’ll need to update it, etc.

Some questions for you
- What do you count as a running streak? Is any walking involved at all?
- Are you seeing fawns out now that it’s almost summer?
