Consistent

If I had to pick one word to describe my workouts this week, it would be consistent.

I was consistent, getting in my “feel good” (4-5 miles) runs every day.  I was consistent, doing my diastasis recti exercises every day. I was consistent, getting in my step goal every day.

So, I also guess you could say it was boring, because there’s nothing exciting to share!

Anyway, here’s what the week looked like:

Sunday –  5.73 miles. I got in about 5 miles with the stroller with GM – we ran to our bagel shop and then he fell asleep so I ran a little more. Then, I ran around the block with LM, then I ran around the block with FW while he was on his bike.  Later, I got in my DR exercises.

Monday –  4.51 miles and DR exercises

Tuesday –   5.01 miles and DR exercises

Wednesday –  5.03 miles and DR exercises

It was HOT Wednesday morning – “feels like 82” at 6 am! – but I got out anyway. I don’t mind the heat, especially since I know soon it will be FREEZING!

Thursday –  5.02 miles and DR exercises

The days are getting shorter, and the only thing good about that is I get to catch some pretty clouds and sunrises now.

Friday – 7.01 miles plus DR exercises

Saturday – 3.57 miles – 3ish with the stroller and then a short run with LM.

Coming up this week – GM turns ONE! I can’t believe it has been a year since he was born. If you need me, I’ll be crying in my office 🙂

Total: 35.88  miles

Some questions for you:

  • Do you notice the days getting shorter right now?
  • Any end-of-summer plans?

l am linking up with Deborah and Kim for the Weekly Run Down.

  1. I haven’t noticed the days getting shorter yet (I’m probably in denial because I HATE when it happens). I was just thinking your little guy’s birthday was coming up. We had two birthdays recently…the oldest daughter turned 28 on the 5th, and our son was 25 yesterday. ((sigh))

  2. Consistency is the key! Nothing boring about that. And yes, I’m trying to squeeze every bit of summer out of my days. Winter is just so long!

Happy birthday to your little one! Those first birthdays are so bittersweet, aren’t they?

  3. Well, a “boring” post is better than an “I injured myself” post! Consistency is key.
Yes, I’ve noticed the days getting shorter. It’s not too bad yet, but I’ll definitely miss the light in the mornings. And I can’t believe your baby is almost a year old! Really??? I don’t blame you for crying- it goes so fast.

  4. ONE! That’s so exciting!

We are back in town and A is at band camp until school starts. I don’t know if we will do anything else this summer, but I guess we will see.

I kind of want to host a brunch for some mom friends who have kids going off to high school but we will see if I can pull it together.
