We got in another snow storm – or two or three – this week, so that meant a whole bunch of indoor workouts for me. And at nearly 30 weeks pregnant, the treadmill has become harder and harder. Still, I got in a walk/runs and a few walks this week. Here’s how it went:
As you can see, the bump is getting bigger and bigger. And this is definitely affecting my running- the breathing is harder, my back gets sore and my piriformis acts up. I’m surprised and dismayed when I’m running at a 12 min/mile pace and my heartrate is at 150 (how high my Dr suggests I get). Still, here’s to another week of keeping moving! And hopefully staying active so I can still participate in some of the Cleveland Marathon events.
Some questions for you:
- Does it feel like spring near you yet?
- How often do you run on a treadmill?

Great job keeping active while it’s snowing! I live in Florida now (so basically 4 months of spring instead of winter) but I’m originally from NH and know how hard it can be to stay motivated when the weather keeps hammering away. I’m not a runner although I do have a treadmill I haven’t used in months. Not that long ago I was running on it though and maybe this will be the inspiration to get back on it! 🙂
I think you’re doing amazing at 30 weeks! Yikes on all that snow. We had on and off snow showers yesterday (because it’s still so damn cold) but nothing stuck. The birds are singing so it sounds spring-like but that’s about it.
