Do you try to run an evenish number of miles when you run?
I mean, if you get to 3.42 miles, do you keep going to get to 3.5? Or if you’re at 2.14 do you run to 2.2 or even 2.25 or 2.5?
I don’t (as you can see) at all. It doesn’t bother me to run 3.52 miles or anything like that. In fact, this week I almost hit 30 miles, but because I don’t run even numbers, I jusssst missed it. Here’s how the week turned out:
Some highlights from the week include:
Sunday I got in another bagel run with FW. We took the stroller out for a run to the bagel shop, picked up some fresh bagels and then ran back. It actually rained the whole time, but FW was a good sport.
I actually got in 2 stroller runs last week – because school was closed on Monday, we were home with the kids and I took FW out Sunday and Monday.
Okay, this is a non-running related highlight, but I also saw Mindy Kaling speak last week! She was a keynote at Content Marketing World and I was fangirling the entire time.
Some questions for you:
- Do you run even numbers?
- Have you ever seen a celebrity speak?
I’m linking up with Deborah and Kim for the Weekly Run Down.
That’s funny about the numbers regarding mileage. I sometimes try to get to an even number, but not always. I do get annoyed (just a little) when I see that I’ve run a 13.15 half marathon because my “official” stats will then reflect a slightly slower average pace LOL
I do like to round out my mileage to a whole or even number as well. Funny the weird things we runners do! Another nice mileage week for you
Oh, yes. I used to be obsessive about running even-ish numbers. I ever would run around the parking lot to get to an even mileage. Now, I don’t worry so much, but I would much rather go .1 miles FARTHER than my goal than .1 miles shorter. 🙂
I will try to hit a certain threshold, but then sometimes I overshoot and have to deal with the uneven number! I don’t try at all on my bike — it seems harder — so maybe I’m learing to let go with running too.
Great week – love the stroller bagel miles!
I used to be obsessive about even numbers, but not so much anymore – unless I’m hitting a big weekly goal! Especially when I’m tired, I could care less what number I end on!
You’re too funny! I would go nuts if I missed 30 miles by so little and would totally run the reminder 😉 Also, awesome on seeing Mindy. She’s so funny!!
I like my round numbers. if I can’t get a whole number, I need at least a tenth to keep Strava from being a royal pain.
So many folks I knew were at CMW
