The weekend included some festivities, running, relaxing AND baking. In fact, I baked twice in one day, which was a regular occurrence before I had kids.
Here’s some of the fun.
Saturday started with a baby shower for my sister-in-law! My mother-in-law baked the cutest cookies as usual.
I didn’t get home from the shower until nearly 3 p.m., so then it was nap time and the rest of the day got away from me. I love that my kids still nap, but it does make the weekend schedule restrictive sometimes since we’re stuck at home for a few hours. At least they nap at the same time!
Sunday started off with a run. This weekend, the whole family went out! I pushed FW while B pushed LM. LM cried for 2 of the 3 miles and then promptly fell asleep. Then FW and I got in a few more blocks, finishing at 4ish miles.
The afternoon included some playing indoors and outdoors. It was cold for our run but got into the 40s in the afternoon so we had to get outside for a walk around the neighborhood.
And inside, we played AND did some baking. FW is a great baking helper!
And then while the kids napped, I hit up the grocery store and did some MORE baking. I told you, 2x in one day! First photographed is pumpkin coconut bars. Followed by PB&J bars.
And with that, our weekend was over. And now we’re nearly mid-way through this week. I can’t believe how fast November is flying by and Thanksgiving will be here sooner rather than later.
Questions for you:
- What’s the last thing you baked?
- When was the last baby shower you attended?
Oh, my gosh the shower treats and decor all look great! Always fun welcoming a new baby into the fam!
