The Week I Met Up With Fellow Ambassadors (Weekly Run Down)

We had a busy week here and it’s almost time to start training for the Cleveland half marathon challenge in May. I’ve been trying to just keep up my mileage so that when training starts in a week or so, I’m ready to go. So right now, I’m all about just keeping up that base (mileage, that is, of course).

That meant 30ish miles total this week, broken down into 6 days of running and Saturday off (just a walk with the family):

Sunday was great – it was cold outside, but it felt great to get outside and get in a run on the weekend while B watched the kids. I was able to get in some stretching and core exercises when I got back from the run, too – well, sorta. The kids proceeded to climb on me which made it a little difficult!

planking, working out, with kids

Thursday night, I met up with some of my fellow Cleveland Marathon Ambassadors!   We met at Pinstripes and got in a game of bowling while catching up and talking about this year’s race. Most of us are better at running than bowling – but I did  break 100!

Some questions for you:

  • Do you enjoy bowling?
  • Do you workout with your family?

I’m linking up with Deborah and Kim for the Weekly Run Down.

  1. OMG, bowling! I was in a bowling league the seven years we lived in the East Lansing area. There was a newcomers’ club that I was a member of, and they met at a non-smoking bowling alley once a week (with childcare provided). At my peak, I was averaging 140 (and had a few 200 games)…but that was many years ago. I think it’s a fun sport, but can be so frustrating if you’re having a bad day (ha! not unlike running LOL).

  3. I have not gone bowling in years but it is always so much fun. Also fun to meet up with other bloggers and have some social time away from the kiddos. Looks like you are keeping up your base just fine! Thanks for linking up today

  4. Fun!

I emphatically do not bowl. I have a janky hip and I am terrified of tweaking it. Of course, now I have a janky ankle too, so clearly, I’m out. However, I’m super happy to sit, drink beer and cheer everyone else on!
