This week was a steamy one. Most mornings when I went outside to run, it was already almost in the 80s, with 80%+ humidity. I’m not used to that, and my runs suffered.
Truthfully, I still prefer this to winter. Give me a steamy, sweaty run to one that’s single digits and icy. It may be muggy, but at least I’m not worried about slipping and falling!
As of this morning, I was at 87 days in a row of running. And, six of the past seven weeks, I’ve run at least 40 miles in a week, which is a lot for me. I’m hoping I can keep this up while everyone’s healthy and we’re all home. Waking up at 5 a.m. is much easier than 4 a.m. for me 🙂

I saw another turkey this week on my run! Or maybe it was the same turkey? I’m not sure, but it’s still something so unusual that I feel the need to take a pic of.
Sunday, B went golfing early, so to get in a decent run, I decided to take the kids in the double stroller. I got in a 3ish miles before he left, then took the kids out for another 3 or so after that. I admittedly didn’t run as much with the stroller – it’s not a real running stroller AND it’s hard to run with 2 kids in nearly 80 degrees! – but I’m still counting the mileage.

After the run, I attempted to do some stretching/abs and other strength work, but the kids had other plans. Oh well, one of these days I’ll get in a workout besides a run!

Saturday, we went to the Farmer’s Market for the first time in a year. It was great to see so many people wearing a mask and to do something, but it still felt weird to be in public, doing something so normal. But, I got to get in a run around the Market- I did a 5k, then ran a mile to the market and then ran a mile home (B biked there with the kids).

Some questions for you:
- Are you running more these days? Or less?
- Are you doing normal things — like going to Farmers Markets, etc. Or are you still staying home?
I’m linking up with Deborah and Kim for the Weekly Run Down.
