For those of you following along, I’m still run/walking! It’s really mostly a walk these days, but I’m happy to be getting in these kinds of miles at 35 weeks pregnant. And maybe it’s because I’m doing 70% of walking, but I also have been noticing much more wildlife on my runs, which I’ve been enjoying so much.
For example, this week I saw deer, blue herons, turtles, and more. Here are some pics:
Can you spot the blue heron (above)?
How about the snapping turtle?
And here’s what this week looked like from a running/walking standpoint:
Sunday: 2.5 miles – I was able to get in a run/walk with the kids before heading to the beach!
Monday: 4.5 miles
Tuesday: 4.8 miles
Wednesday: 5.13 miles
Thursday: 5.42 miles
Friday: 4.75 miles
Saturday: 3.01 miles
Total: 30.11 mi
Weeks Pregnant: 35
Running Streak Day (If you count the run/walks): 422
Sunday’s run was with the kids – you can see B even took a pic of us together! It was HOT but after we did our run, we had bagel sandwiches and went to the beach. So, it was 100% a win win!

And of course, HAPPY FATHER’S DAY!! I’m so lucky to be able to celebrate two great dads – my own father and my husband, who are both great dads, grandfathers, examples, and more.
Some questions for you
- A coworker told me this week she “Wasn’t a bagel person” – are you a bagel person? (I didn’t know that was a thing!)
- If you had to choose – bagels or donuts?
