Man, is it really nearly the end of December?
While I’m ready for the holiday season, some time off of work and with the family (and no school for the kids!), it doesn’t feel like the holidays. I’m not going home for Christmas this year (thanks, pandemic) and also, it has been WARM! That’s right – I was able to run in capris twice this week because it was in the 40s-50s even before the sun came up. And I loved it!
This week, I got in an outdoor run nearly every day. The weather was just that good!
The week went like this:
Sunday: 4.76 miles + hike with the family
Monday: 4.75 miles
Tuesday: 3.33 miles
Wednesday: 4.28 miles
Thursday: 3.41 miles
Friday: 4.26 miles
Saturday: 3 treadmill miles
Total mileage: 27.8 miles running
Some highlights from the week:
Our sunny Sunday hike
And a Santa visit!!
Questions for you:
- Are the holidays looking a little different for you this year?
- What is your favorite holiday treat? I love heath bar toffee! I posted the recipe this week, too.
Sounds like you had a really great week of running! I am always impressed how you fit it all in. Cute Santa photo happy holidays to you all and have a fantastic week
Busy week! We had temps in the 70’s on Wednesday, but it was SOOOO windy we weren’t really able to enjoy them. We’re taking a big trip, right after Christmas, so I haven’t done as much decorating because most of it will all come down before we pull out of town. So, it does look a little different in my house this year….
Heath bar toffee is definitely a favorite – I had a piece today!
Christmas is always different now that my kids are gone. This year my daughter is coming but my son is going away with his wife.
This year is different for us in that my son returned home for Christmas for the first time (as opposed to being here all year- he’s in college now.). Having him here makes everything seem extra special, even though we’re doing all our usual holiday things.
Great week of running! Glad you had such amazing weather.
Awesome week of workouts for you!
I’m sorry you don’t get to go home this year. Hopefully next year will be better. ❤
