I’m still streakinggggggggg (sung to the tune of “I’m Still Standing”) …. that’s right – my running streak is still going strong! My legs may be tired and I may not be getting enough sleep or resting my body, but my running streak is still happening and hopefully I can continue it for a bit longer.
As of this morning, I was at 80 days in a row of running. Here’s what this week looked like:
And this week was HOT. At least for me. Most days it was already in the 70s at 5 a.m. when I wake up, which made for some hot runs for me.
Also, this week, I had to get up and get dressed for work! I of course had a mask on for my in-person meeting. Crazy how times have changed, huh?
And I also took a pic that morning before my run — funny the difference a few hours makes 🙂
I also realized this week that I need to work on my sleep right now more than ever. There are more days during this work at home time with kids that I’m staying up too late to work, and then of course, getting up early to run and work before the kids get up. Case in point, Thursday last week:
Oh well, there’s always this week.
Some questions for you:
- Do you struggle to get enough sleep? Any tips?
- Do you set weekly/daily goals for steps, sleep, water, floors, etc.? What are they?
I’m linking up with Deborah and Kim for the Weekly Run Down.
Not only are you streaking, you are logging serious miles! Love your pink skirt — you clean up well. 🙂 I’ve been sleeping well during all this, probably because I am unplugging from work before dinner and rarely logging back in.
You have a serious run streak going on! I hope you get some more sleep this week. This heat knocks me out too so I am even more tired. Thanks for linking up!
Awesome job on keeping your running streak going, especially in this heat!
One tip that my friend told me about getting better sleep is no screen time at least an hour before going to bed. I’m going to try that this week and see if it helps as I’m also not the best sleeper.
While I don’t feel tired, I know I should be getting more sleep.I average 5-6 hours of sleep, and that’s on a “good” night. No matter how late I get to bed, my body seems to wake up around 5-5:30 on its own (usually before my alarm). Great job on that streak!
Great job on your streak! Not only are you running everyday but they’re not short runs either. I will probably run 1 mile here and there.
Lately I have been struggling to go to sleep but I try to take a nap during the day. I know not everyone has that option. Sometimes I take a melatonin so I can sleep.
80 days. WOW.
Steps are my only daily goal, but I kind of made peace with that not always being a thing.
I am having such a hard time getting enough sleep. I’m an insomniac in the best of times, so you can imagine how it’s going now lol.
I try to hit over 10,000 steps per day. I also try to walk or run 3.5 miles or more daily. It’s been going fairly well.
That’s a long streak – and a lotta miles! Good job! I have been struggling to get to bed earlier and wake up refreshed since I got home from vacation a few weeks ago. Honestly I think it’s because my kids stay up so late. They are up until midnight most nights, but I just go to bed before them. 7 hours is my ideal target. I don’t wear a watch to bed, but I think I do sleep pretty good.
