200 Days of Running

This past week I hit a running milestone I never would’ve imaged (or strived for) — I made it to 200 days of my running streak!

In 200 days, here’s what running has looked like:

Total miles:

  • Average mileage: 5.75 miles
  • Number of races: 3 (all virtual)
  • Number of stroller runs: 10
  • Number of treadmill runs: 8

But, I think my days of streaking are coming to an end. The mornings are getting colder and some days I think about how nice it would be to just let my body rest, especially as my plantar fasciitis has been hurting on and off for the past few months. But until then, here’s how my week looked:

Some highlights:

We had gorgeous weather! The sun was shining and it was in the 70s for a few days in a row, which meant a few runs in capris and shorts. And fast (for me these days) runs!

There were some more gorgeous sunrises this week, too. Taking a photo was a great excuse to stop and catch my breath.

Some days this week were amazing. It was like the fog had lifted, and the sun was out (both literally and figuratively). The anxiety I’d had for weeks even felt somewhat better. I’m hoping that this continues for at least some time.

Some questions for you:

  • Did you have some more seasonably warm weather? It was 70s to start the week, which meant that I got in a few of my favorite shorts runs!
  • Do you run when it’s dark out in the a.m. or p.m.?

I’m linking up with Deborah and Kim for the Weekly Run Down.

It’s been fun (and inspiring!) to watch you hit that 200 mark! I do a lot of my runs (when I’m not injured LOL) in the dark, morning hours. Since I’ve been working from home recently, I’ve been trying to catch a few sunrises (since I don’t have to shower, etc. before logging on), but haven’t been too lucky.

200 days is quite a streak, especially with a 5+ mile average – wow! I’m a dark o’clock in the morning runner, but have noticed I do run a bit faster when it’s light out. I guess it’s a good thing that I’m slowing down to pay attention to my footing!

wow that is quite a run streak! We had some warmer weather for a few days and it was so much harder for me to run. I prefer the cooler temps and I am a mid morning runner. Way to go this week!

Yes I think we had 4 days of weather in the 70s and then yesterday it was in the 20s in the am.

I plan to get out in the am when it is light. I work and I haven’t been very successful.

So I do now have to run when it is dark… I hate it because it limits where I can run.

Way to go! Streaks really aren’t my thing, but I love seeing others take part! You’ve done so great.

I run in the dark in the early morning. It’s my favorite time to run.
