Being on vacation last week, I somehow missed that JUNE is here. JUNE – holy smokes. I hate how fast summertime goes – it’s my favorite season of the year and I wish it would last forever. The sunny days, sleeping in, endless daylight … anyway, it doesn’t, but I’m trying to make it last as much as I can!
I was able to get in a run outside all week – even on the day it was pouring when I woke up, I managed to get in a few miles later in the day, which is very unlike me (typically if I don’t work out first thing, it isn’t going to happen).
Here’s what the week looked like:
Sunday – 5.73 miles 4.73 stroller miles plus 1 mile run with FW! I took out LM on a run with the Bob, that finally got fixed, and then FW wanted to go for a run with me. So much fun running with him.
Monday – 5.17 miles
Tuesday – 30 minute yoga for runners video, 8 minute abs and then 3 mile run later in the day
Wednesday – 5.1 miles
Saw this guy on my run
Thursday – 5.55 miles – 5.05 mi in the morning and then .5 mi with FW after work (including a ~1:42 400 meter with him!)
Friday – 3.5 miles
Saturday – 4.38 miles – woke up feeling kinda cruddy but the run actually felt like my best all week and I felt better after the run. Sometimes running makes me feel better, and on Saturday, it did.
Total: 31.96 miles
Some questions for you:
- Does seeing 31.96 miles make you squirm – would have run .04 more?
- Any on-demand yoga you recommend? I’d like to do it more often, but I find it so boring!
l am linking up with Deborah and Kim for the Weekly Run Down.
It’s amazing how much running you get in, being a mom of littles! I always felt lucky to get in any kind of a run when my guys were little. June’s weather has been all over the place, hasn’t it?
I am always impressed how you fit in all those miles often with the stroller. It’s cute that your son wants to run with you. I do some of the Peloton yoga classes they are really great and have some short ones too so easy to fit in. They do still have a free trial membership if you wanted to try it
I agree that the summer is far too short of a season. And, we have the solstice coming soon…ugh, that day is such a buzzkill for me because I know the daylight will be starting its downward spiral…
I never worry about rounding up weekly mileage — but sometimes I do for individual runs. I don’t usually on the bike though — it’s too difficult.
I liked the CorePower Yoga on demand classes, but that’s because I was used to taking them in-studio (they have a basic pattern they follow, even if each class is different.) Now I just do peloton yoga classes. I could send you a link for 2 free months if you’d like. They’ve got lots of 10 – 20 min classes that I can talk myself into. 😉
I can’t believe it’s June either! I’m so glad you got some time to run while on vacation. That’s so great.
Off numbers used to bother me, but now I stop when I stop. It’s all balances out in the end.
