July was a good month. We had some good weather (I do love it warm!), I got in runs most days of the week, I stayed injury free, and ended up with more than 130 miles:
And so, enter August. I only have a few goals this month as it relates to working out:
- Stay injury free
- Keep up the running (3-5 miles most days of the week)
- Get in 2-3 “long” runs (6 or more miles)
- Get in 2-3 stroller runs while the weather is still nice
- Continue with my diastasis recti abdominal repair exercises
Sounds reasonable enough, right? We’ll see how it goes!
In the meantime, here’s what this week looked like:
Sunday – 4.03 stroller miles and DR exercises
Monday – 5.06 miles and DR exercises
Tuesday – 5.14 miles and DR exercises
Wednesday – 5.3 miles and DR exercises
Thursday – 4.8 miles and DR exercises, plus 1.75 mile walk with the kiddos
Friday – 7.04 miles and DR exercises
Saturday – 3.51 miles running plus 2 miles walking with GM
Total: 34.88 weekly running miles
Some questions for you:
- What day of the week do you start your week on when measuring mileage? I have always liked starting on Sunday and ending on Saturday.
- Do you have any goals for the month?
l am linking up with Deborah and Kim for the Weekly Run Down.
I also do Sunday through Saturday. Are you training for any fall races? I have a half in 8 weeks and am struggling to get my miles in due to this heat! Your miles are impressive.
I’m a Monday to Sunday gal!
Great job achieving your goals, even in the heat. Impressive!
Way to keep up your miles with this summer heat and humidity. Mine were lower this month with travel and weather. Great job hitting your goals this month
Staying injury free is my main goal after all the issues I’ve had lately! Good luck to both of us.
I think of my schedule as Monday – Sunday, but I haven’t set up my Garmin calendar any differently.
i count Monday-Sunday. Maybe it’s because I always do my long runs on Sunday (I work on Saturdays) so that always feels like the end of the week to me.
My goal for August is to heal up my hamstring (aaauuugh!) and be running again ASAP. That’s all I ask, nothing fancy! Your goals sound good. And great job being so consistent with the DR exercises.
You always have really consistent mileage! Awesome job, especially since you have to do a lot of stroller runs, and those are probably a lot more work. I used to always do my weeks Monday-Sunday, but we changed our link-up time to an earlier start (last year, I think? LOL), so now I usually go Sunday -Saturday, at least in terms of my WRD post.
I love the earlier link up time!! It works better with my schedule 😃
