Cleveland Marathon 2023 Ambassador

This week was pretty uneventful running-wise. I ran 4-5 miles most days, did my diastasis recti abdominal exercises and enjoyed the still good weather. BUT there was one exciting piece of news — I am excited to announce that I am going to be an ambassador for the 2023 Cleveland Marathon!

This means that I get to run the race for free, get a 15% discount and get to host a giveaway. Right now I have my eye set on the Challenge Series, running a 5K and half marathon, Saturday and Sunday of race weekend. But I still have some time to decide! And now, onto my week! Here’s how it went:

Sunday: 4 miles before a brunch with B’s family. It was a BEAUTIFUL and warm day and I relished in the wonderful weather and run.

Monday: 5 miles and diastasis recti ab exercises

Tuesday 4.14 miles and diastasis recti ab exercises. I was out early and able to see the blood moon/eclipse!

Wednesday 4 miles and diastasis recti ab exercisesGM had woken up at 3 a.m. and refused to go back to sleep, so I was grateful to get in a run to at least refresh me and wake me up a little.

Thursday4.32 miles and diastsis recti ab exercises. After the lack of sleep Wednesday, I was tired and almost didn’t get out of bed in time. Somehow I made it out and had a good, quick-for-me easy run.

Friday: 5.05 miles running while the weather was still warm and then a longer diastasis recti workout. I ran between raindrops, but since it was still 60 degrees, I didn’t mind. I knew the weather was going to significantly drop in the next day:

Saturday: 3.59 miles before the cold and rain set in.  I woke up before GM did and managed to get in a run while he and B were still in bed. Winning!

Total: 30.12 miles

Some questions for you:

  • Are you already thinking about spring races? Cleveland is 187 days away 🙂
  • Any travel coming up for Thanksgiving?

  1. yes, I am planning my spring race schedule! I run much better in the spring than the fall. Winter training is my thing. Looks like a solid week for you! Congrats on the ambassador gig

  2. Congratulations on your ambassadorship! Very cool. And sounds like a fun plan with the 5k/half in one weekend!

Still warm weather in November is a nice treat!

  3. It’s crazy how fast the weather changed and how quickly the temps dropped. Looks like another solid week in the running shoes! Congrats on Cleveland!

  4. Congrats on being an ambassador (again, right?). I haven’t really planned any spring races but I am eyeing Cherry Blossom at least. Hopefully my hip flexor will settle down and nothing else will pop up.
