When January Feels Like April

We had a WARM weekend here in CLE and I can’t complain. You could argue that Friday into Saturday felt like it was spring here – we hit almost 70 degrees on Saturday! I really loved it and we fully took advantage of it,  doing ALL of the things outside in between the rain – running, walking, playing, etc.

Friday night we decided to do something new – we watched a full movie with FW and had dinner with the movie. We ordered pizza, and he got to sit in front of the TV while we watched Monsters, Inc. LM even got in on some of the fun (and for some reason she wouldn’t stop putting the brown bag my salad came in on her head …).

Saturday included some muffin making …

And eating, of course. I love using the Lean Green Bean’s lentil muffins as a starter recipe – this time, the muffins we made had banana, spinach, zucchini, lentils and oats. We sprinkled mini chocolate chips on the top and they were delish!

We also did some outdoor play – on the porch when it was raining …

And a nice walk outside, too.

I was able to get out for a 5 mile run and was WARM in my sleeves. I definitely could’ve had on shorts and/or short sleeves!

LM got out for two walks — the second one was in the stroller and she passed out maybe 2 minutes after this photo was taken.

Sunday was much cooler – back to seasonal temps – and while we did get some fresh air, the day was spent mostly indoors.

We walked over to our friends’ house in the morning for some playtime. What a stark difference from yesterday’s walk, huh?

LM and FW played with my friends’ kids and of course, loved all the new (to-them) toys.

That afternoon included LONG naps, a little meal prep and dinner with B’s family. And before we knew it, it was time for the weekend to end!

Some questions for you:

  • Did you get to enjoy warm-ish weather this weekend?
  • What’s your go-to takeout?
