Too Much Fun Stuff To Do

Wow, this past week into the weekend was filled with too much fun stuff. From ladies’ nights to running to marathon ambassador meetups to celebrations, we were BUSY. But it was all fun, so I can’t really complain? Though, I do feel like I need a day off to recover!

Thursday night was a meetup with the Cleveland Marathon Ambassadors. We met up at Pinstripes for food, fun, drinks and bowling!

The Week I Met Up With Fellow Ambassadors (Weekly Run Down)

We had a busy week here and it’s almost time to start training for the Cleveland half marathon challenge in May. I’ve been trying to just keep up my mileage so that when training starts in a week or so, I’m ready to go. So right now, I’m all about just keeping up that base (mileage, that is, of course).

That meant 30ish miles total this week, broken down into 6 days of running and Saturday off (just a walk with the family):   Continue reading

50/50 Inside/Outside

This week was cold, snowy, and sometimes icy, and not really conducive to running. When it wasn’t super cold or snowy, I went outside and run (even in the snow) but when it was sleeting and feels like temps in the negative, I opted inside. That meant I got in 3 runs inside and 3 runs outside. I really can’t wait until it’s spring and I can train for the Cleveland half marathon challenge outdoors!

Here’s a look at this week’s runs: Continue reading

Snowy February Weekends

It was a wintry, snowy February weekend in Cleveland. Whereas we started the week with 50-60 degree temps, we finished the week with cold, snow and ice. But that didn’t mean we hunkered down and stayed inside all weekend. No, we can’t really do that with two active young kids. But, we ended up having fun and spending a bit of time outdoors. Here’s what the weekend entailed:

All About that Base (Mileage)

This week wasn’t anything out of the ordinary in terms of running. In fact, the next few weeks will likely be pretty standard, as I am getting ready to start training for the Cleveland half marathon challenge in May. So right now, I’m all about just keeping up that base (mileage, that is, of course). (bonus points if you now have a song in your head)

Anyway, here’s a look at how running looked this week: Continue reading

Sometimes You Just Need Sleep

Sleep. That’s something that I have taken for granted for the first 30 or so years of my life. And then kids came, and well, let’s just say I’ve missed sleep sorely. Between having 2 kids, working (sometimes late), and fitting in running, life and all that’s in between, sometimes sleep gets put on the back burner. This week was one of those weeks and well, one day, I actually chose sleep!

Here’s a look at how running looked this week:
