I feel like each week I say the same things – this winter is never-ending. I am so ready to be able to run outside without Yaktrax and/or just without a foot of snow.
But even though winter is still here, I’m still running, so that’s something to celebrate. And this week, I hit 300 days of my running streak! Here’s what the week looked like:
Sunday: 5 miles outside! The week actually started out pretty mild. Well, it was cold (20s) but Sunday and Monday there was NO snow in the sky for my runs, which made the runs even better. And because it had not snowed all weekend, the roads (not sidewalks) were clear for my runs! This meant I got in some enjoyable outdoor runs before heading back inside for the treadmill.
Monday: 5.43 miles – some were done outside – i found snowy trail that was GREAT for a slow, peaceful and not too deep run – and I also did a few miles on the treadmill.
Tuesday: 4.6 miles on the treadmill – woke up to 6+ inches of snow, and more coming down
Wednesday: 5.25 miles on the treadmill
Thursday: 5 treadmill miles
Friday: 5.5 treadmill miles
Saturday: 5.8
Weekly mileage: 36.58 mi
Running streak days: 303
In non-running related news, I got my first haircut during COVID! It was so long that I was able to chop it all off and donate it to Locks of Love. Check out the difference! (Sorry, blurry picture and not the same shirt)

before hair donation

after!
Some questions for you:
- Have you donated your hair before?
- What are you looking forward to this week?
I’m linking up with Deborah and Kim for the Weekly Run Down.
That’s such the correct term – the never ending winter! February has been brutal with all the snow, wind, ice and freezing cold weather.
That’s amazing that you were able to donate your hair to Locks of Love – what a wonderful gift to give to someone!
Your haircut looks great! Our daughters have donated before, but I have not (I was told they don’t want color-treated hair). When I left for my walk this morning, there were a few flakes in the air but it was almost a full-blown whiteout when I returned … a mere two miles later. Yes, it does feel like it’s never ending.

Your hair looks great I love that length on you! That is quite a run streak you have going on. NIce job getting it done inside this week. Have a great week ahead
Woo-hoo Happy 300!!!!! That’s amazing. I’ve done Locks of Love a few times and it always feels extra good knowing that the hair that I don’t need is going to help someone else.
Wow on 300 days! I keep my hair short, so I’ve never donated it. Love your cut!
Oh, your hair is so cute!!! I love it and I love that you donated.
I don’t think I have ever had my hair long enough to donate, but it’s such a great thing. ❤
Wow, your haircut looks great, and someone will be VERY glad of that beautiful hair donation!
My son just auditioned for CIM- virtually, by Zoom. If not for Covid we would have been up there this weekend auditioning in person- I’m not sad we missed out on that! Coming from Florida we would ave froze to death.
Congrats on your streak! 303 days is a long one!
Oh that’s exciting for your son! CIM is a great school. But agreed – you lucked out weather-wise. Our winter this year has been worse than usual. Florida sounds great right now!
Great haircut! It’s been a while since I’ve had long hair. I am going to see if I can do it again this year.
This week I am looking forward to the warmer weather.
I also just got my first haircut in over a year. I think I had 8 inches cut off. lol
Glad I’m not the only one who hasn’t been at the hairdresser. Sounds like you could’ve waited a bit and donated, too 🙂
I wish I could have waited! But I was SOO ANNOYED by it. lol
Wow -on both the streak and the haircut! What a great thing to do to donate your hair. My hair would never grow that long, so nope, I never have done that. Your new cut looks awesome!
