Another week of postpartum running has come and gone and it went a little better than last week. Did I get in more mileage or any outdoor runs? No … but I did feel better on most of my runs, so I’ve got to believe that I’m slowly improving!
Most of those were walk/runs and all were done on the treadmill while LM was taking a nap. So some were running – feed LM – go back to running – put a pacifier in her mouth – go back to running, etc. But I’m happy to be able to get them in while I’m home with her. I hope to soon be able to go for a run in the morning before B and FW leave the house – but not sure when that will be. I need to get some more sleep at night first!
Some questions for you:
- Mommas – how do you it in runs with kids?
- How often do you run on a treadmill?

Nothing wrong with jumping on and off the TM – you’re getting it done and not giving up. I used to run on the TM whenever I needed to, sometimes it was a lot and other times never.
The treadmill was my best friend when my second son was little. I ran almost all my runs there while he napped. Any way you can get in a run is a good thing.
As much as I love running outside, the treadmill is so convenient! I commend people that can still get their runs in pretty regularly that have little ones! Good job!
I used the TM a lot when my kids were really young. It’s sure tough to fit it in some days when you have little ones. You got in 4 days that’s great
You’re doing great! My treadmill was my BFFFF when my kids were babies. I’d jump on it during naps, sometimes I’d have the baby sit there in the swing or bouncy chair while I ran. My other alternative was running before hubby left for work (had to be back by 6:30) or dropping my older daughter at preschool and putting baby in the jog stroller. One way or another it all works out!
Yes it does! We make time for what we can. Glad to hear it is doable
